I’m not in this town currently, but Buffalo’s Hip Pocket Pizza is the best ever. Either pepperoni or ham & mushroom. Oh. My. Gosh. I wish I lived there at times just for the pizza. 🙂

I’m a big Mazzios fan as far as chain pizza goes, but I think Godfathers is the best. Yum!

Cathy will back me up on this one – Wheat State! We used to go a very poorly managed branch in Shawnee, and got free pizza several times. It was almost always a hassle, but was undoubtedly always worth it!

If you’re here in the KC, Minsky’s and Pizza Shoppe are terrific too. And as always, come visit me at http://www.bsynh.blogspot.com!

    Cheezie’s

They sell breadsticks the size of a pie for five bucks. Can’t beat it.

Ah the Time…that brings back some memories!
Best Pizza? Definitely in Joplin Pizza by Stout. I recommend ordering it fresh rather than the buffet and the also sell the best ooey gooey yummy cinnamon rolls you have ever had. They also sell 100 different types of beer so there is something for everyone. My husband took me here for our first date (the year was 1989). More memories. Good times.

The best local I’ve had is Tortugas, which makes a deep-dish Chicago-style pizza that, according to Chicago natives I have met, is just as good as the real thing.

The best New York-style pizza I’ve ever had was in New York, at Empire State Pizza, where you can listen to the owner verbally abuse the pizza-maker, George, in both English and Spanish.

Is there a Mellow Mushroom in Birmingham? I know they’re only available in the South, and the first time I ever had it was in Alabama. That is, by far, the best pizza I’ve ever had. If they have it, FedEx me some!
