Am I scary?

Am I scary?

On this day in 1980 – 1,400 people riot in Toronto when Alice Cooper cancelled a show due to illness.

Question of the Day:

Do you clean your home right before company comes over, or do you always have a neat house?

I try to keep it CLEAN. Uncluttered is a different story. I feel I can still be cluttered and clean.

I used to always have a neat house, but now it’s definitely a scramble to take turns cleaning and taking care of Jonah before company comes.

I keep a clean house, although it can be kind of cluttered. I usually straighten up the clutter only if my mom is visiting. I like for my mom to think that I’m a neater person than I was when I was living with her.

I’m a total slob. I used to scramble before company came over, but now I don’t care very much. I make sure the plumbing interfaces are clean, and maybe the stove and counter-tops, but otherwise…if you love me, u have to love my dirty house too!

I must clean. Today, actually. I find it frustrating that I can clean every single day and the house never seems to BE clean. If I have one or two people over, I’ll run a vacuum and make sure my dirty underwear aren’t in the living room floor. The last time I had a “gathering,” I believe I had to take a half day off work to make the place presentable.

I’m with you on that never done business. Dishes. Are never. Done. Every time I load the dishwasher, there’s at least one outlier that doesn’t fit in the dishwasher, that must sit in the sink until the next load. Soon, that maverick spawns other dirty dishes. By the time I unload the dishwasher, there’s a full load, except for one dish that won’t fit… and the cycle begins again.

I try to keep up with cleaning a bit each day so I don’t have to do marathon cleaning sessions. Cleaning even with a baby is easier than when we smoked (everything was icky) and had a dog (even though I still miss little ole Foxy every day). My place will still never be as clean as my house growing up though…I don’t want to be uberanal about it like my momma was.

This is funny to me because I have always been anal about keeping my house spotless. Floors mopped and cleaned weekly, etc…Since I’ve had Kael I’m lucky to be able to clean my house once a month. And, somehow, I’ve become okay with that. The day I got home from the hospital (from having Kael, that is) I started cleaning and doing laundry and Tim about FREAKED! He had to push me on the couch and tell me to chill and he’d do the cleaning and laundry. 🙂
