Dodge Viper. Any year. Any color. I want one.

I like old muscle cars. I’m really not a gear-head, so I couldn’t really say an exact model or year. Think Death Proof.

    1970 Dodge Hemi ‘Cuda

The Mini Cooper. I’d have to buy a used one, because the Electric Blue color is my favorite and I don’t think they make those anymore.

I also have a great fondness for the old Beetles. My first car was a 73 yellow Beetle.

    1964 1/2 Mustang. I’d take a Shelby or Cobra too. 🙂

I love the muscle cars as well-deathproof will work-hmmmm, the sound of mopar! My mom is a Corvette junkie, and they’re alright too-only the older ones tho, they have a special sound when they start that I find comforting because I associate it with my mom and my childhood, but a rumble once they are running that is just plain old american-muscle-car sexy. I’ve got some gear head tendencies.

I’m also irrationally fond of Saabs. My favorites are the old hatchbacks that everyone thinks are really ugly. I used to find them for like $1,700 when I was a late teen and take them to my mechanic for approval. He would look at me like I had grown tentacles, poke under the hood for all of two seconds and tell me HELL NO!

I’m sure if I had taken the one I drive now to him for approval he would have told me hell no again, but I didn’t give him the chance…turbo and top down makes me happy-and let’s face it, there aren’t that many ways to feel happy on a commute to and from work.

Hmmmm I don’t know that I have a favorite usually I drove what was available. As long as it looked half-way decent and got from a to b then I was happy. I used to want a white jeep like Daisy Duke and jeeps are fun.
My hubby is RoadRunner fan. In high-school he had a 71 RoadRunner brown with white stripe. Then when we got married he had a 70 RoadRunner -hemi orange. Now we have a 69 RoadRunner sitting in our garage- electric blue. It is pretty cool, the part I like is the horn, it sounds just like the cartoon…beep beep!

I don’t know if you have a favorite car… but I know you’ll have a favorite love song you’ve never heard! Okay, now I’m just doing some shameless self-promotion for my blog. Go vote!
