The last time I shared a home remedy of garlic as a natural antibiotic (per Emory’s wife), the place smelled like nasty garlic for a year…I don’t want to risk it again. 🙂

Thank goodness the source isn’t in Monett much… or we’d still be smelling it. Garlic and sweat! UGH! :S

my homemade burn spray – i mix about 10 different things including at least 4+ essential oils in a spray bottle, and apply liberally and frequently to sunburns, or any kind of burn. it’s amazing-no blisters, no peeling.
salt water for sore throats, and the infamous netti pot are also pretty effective for allergy/cold symptoms.

btw adam, i love this song. did you know these guys are from saint louis?
really don’t know why that matters, but a dj said it, so it must be important right?

Licorice cures heartburn, more quickly than prescription drugs and more safely than Tums and things like that. I keep black licorice Jelly Belly jelly beans in my cabinet specifically for this reason. 2 or 3 beans does the trick.
And no, red licorice doesn’t count – that’s not actually licorice.
And yes, I know black licorice tastes gross. But if you have acid reflux, it actually tastes sweet, and it is a welcome change.

    • Amber said,

sipping a little bit of watered down apple cider vinegar before meals will help with acid reflux too!

    i forgot about CLUB SODA!
