The feet of snow! And that Mike’s mother didn’t say anything bad about my gift.

Celebrating Christ’s birth with my family. It was especially amazing this year since I got to see Christmas through my son’s eyes. He’s truly amazing and I’m so blessed to have him in my life.

Getting to see Nick open his presents and have so much fun with his cousins who got to visit from California.

I kind of enjoyed getting snowed in with my family in KC. It forced me to slow down a bit and enjoy the weekend.

Time with the family. Being with Grandma on Her first Christmas morning without Grandpa. She’s such a great lady. I feel sorry for the rest of the world who just got the left over grandma’s. I got the best one.

That my family has finally agreed to no gifts! (Except for my cousin and my Dad, but we were all clear up front that if anyone buys gifts it’s cause they WANT TO and not because they are obligated, so those of us that didn’t bring any didn’t have to feel bad.)

I received the wonderful gift of finding out that we are having a baby girl! SO cool. Also the snow on Christmas day was a bonus. It made all of our plans go out the window – which was really fun. We had Pizza on Christmas day! And saw a movie too! This was unlike any other year. Too cool.

The opportunity to be with my aunt on her last Christmas.

Christmas has traditionally been at my grandparents, but about 4 years ago the venue changed on account of the stress of the holidays on their 90 year old souls. But a white Christmas forced everyone in town to hole up at their place, play cards, drink wine, and eat pizza, which ended up being the best gift of the entire holiday.
