With a baby, you have to plan ahead for everything. There is no just heading out the door anymore.

Vacation: although I’m not all that big on making up an itinerary. Even if I have a list of things I want to do while on vacation, I usually drop a few of them to do something I didn’t know I wanted to do until I got there.

I’m the same way. I went on vacation with a friend who is a comsummate planner and she wanted to fill our entire trip with “stuff”. (No thanks, I want to sip drinks with umbrellas and work on my sunburn a little bit, and you’re NOT scheduling that.) But I feel much more comfortable with a loose itinerary.

I agree with Natalie. You have to plan ahead for everything as a parent. I always pack three times, maybe more, extra for whatever we may need.
