Thanks to the handy Plackers, I floss daily. Sometimes twice!

    Last night.

The Sunday before last. Typically that’s one of my exciting Sunday activities, but since I was flying back from California I failed to bring floss for fear they would think I was a terrorist attempting to strangle the pilot with my Crest Satin.

So it’ll have to wait for next Sunday.

As long as you weren’t hiding the floss in your shoe or your underwear, you’d probably be ok. That’s where terrorists hide their floss.

    You mean my teeth?

I actually got a sample of those Plackers in the mail. Tried it. Got stuck in my teeth. Hence why I hate to floss. My teeth are too darn close together and the floss always gets stuck. So yeah…it’s been a while and will be a great while longer before I do it again.

Oh, last week sometime? Maybe? It’s not something that’s particularly high on my priority list. I didn’t make a new years resolution to floss more or anything. I just get to it when I think about it. I don’t even have floss at home. I keep it at my desk. It’s a great stress reliever. Sometimes when I get frustrated with my development teams or deadlines, I floss.

I DID make it my New Years resolution to floss regularly, simply because I’m thoroughly embarrassed twice a year when I visit my dentist and he scolds me like a small child because I haven’t been flossing. So I figured I had a few options to improve the situation. Either, A.) Find a new dentist (and risk him/her telling me the same thing), B.) stop going to the dentist altogether, or C.) floss regularly. I chose the latter.

    I’m a champion flosser.

usually every other day-ish, and extra if i have popcorn, corn on the cob, or stringy meat. i’d say it averages out to 4 times a week.
when i worked at the bank i knew THREE women, two of them between the ages of 30 and 40, and one not much over 50, who had to have their gums scraped and had receding gumlines because they never flossed, and that is apparently a very painful procedure, so fear drives me to floss. also, it seems more necessary than it used to. must be one of those “now that i’m over 30” things.
btw, my dentist is the coolest ever, and he always just says “you’re doing a great job, keep up the good work, and tell your mom hi” etc. (he thinks my mom is hot…which she kinda is!)
