Question of the Day:

What is something random you always keep in your car?

I keep extra diapers and wipes in the glove box. :s

Take your pick…Diapers, wipes, variety of snacks for Kael, DVDs…My car is a constant mess.

This is the BEST Neil Young song – and there are so many to choose from! Excellent pick, Adam.

I keep a dryer sheet in my car, especially in winter, because there always seems to be an extraordinary buildup of static electricity in my car that makes my hair stand up. So, I pull out the dryer sheet, rub it on my hair when I get out of the car, and repeat when I get back in.

And my voter registration card. Don’t ask me why. The important thing is I know where it is when I need it.

I keep a small plastic bowl full of baking soda in my glove box. For some reason, my car is quite prone to developing corrosion around the battery cables, and when it gets really bad my car won’t start. Baking soda and water, of course, are the best way to get rid of that corrosion.
I always worry that one day I’m going to end up having a very interesting conversation with the police about that baking soda. I should really invest in a little “roadside emergency” tool box and just keep an entire plastic container of baking soda in my car so it looks less, um, illegal substance-ish.

I don’t have any diapers or wipes in our car. We just never thought about it since we have a bunch in the diaper bag. We do have a couple blankets in the backseat, tons of cds, and I think there still might be some antibacterial lotion in the glove compartment. Other than that we just have some de-icer, regular car thingies (car tool-kit type stuff…including flares!), and a few soda cans we need to get rid of.
